Monterosso Day 3

After breakfast today we took a little stroll around the seafront, mostly sightseeing, people watching and a little shopping. Made dinner reservations and then returned to our room. Jim is sunning himself on our balcony - I washed his shirt which is drying on our balcony. This it Italy, a balcony without clothes drying is a barren sight.
We took a walk on the beach, got our feet wet in the Mediterranean Sea. Stopped for gelato on the way back and then later went out to dinner. Sitting on our balcony was like going to the movies - with the sea at our doorstep.

Later, out to dinner at the Belvedere, where we had the house speciality. It's a big Grecian looking urn, that is a terra cotta crock. Inside are mussels, gameroni, a white fish, a lobster and a whole octopus. We have had this before in the past and it was just as wonderful. They serve toasted bread to soak in the broth. A most magnificent meal!!!!

  1. We did the same in Venice and Levico---clothes drying on the balcony! Are we Italian or what?
You bet. Sandy knows 999 words in Italian for various cheeses, wines and other dishes---am I wrong? See the sights, re-charge the batteries and enjoy life! T&S
