Beautiful drive, up and down winding mountain roads, through little villages, farms with cows, and then vineyards.
The photos say it all - this is only a tiny little town with a ruined castle up on the hill above the vineyards. Any green you see in the hills are grapes!
We will splurge for dinner in the restaurant here at the hotel, a rather fancy fine dining candlelit place. Interesting enough, the check in for the hotel is in the kitchen and one of the chefs went outside to show us where to park!
After breakfast tomorrow we head to the cemetery at Epinal, France; and after a quick visit and maybe lunch, we will head to Colmar for 2 nights on the France side of the Alsace before returning to the Black Forest.
Beautiful country and really nice photos. I had to go out today and take photos of here for National Geographic and I could not help but think how HERE looks compared to THERE! Opel is the only auto made in Belgium, if it still is! ENJOY, ENJOY, ENJOY
