Oh, the marvels of modern day conveience. I am sitting here on the Flying Cat 4, on my way to Santorini. Airline type seats, sitting inside - coffee bar straight ahead, big flat screen TV’s on the wall, watching contestants on Eurovision. Of course, cannot understand the commentary, but much of the music seems good. Nothing to see out the big windows next to us but blue sea. In 1 hr, 45 minutes, we shall arrive in Santorini. Upon arrival we will have to find our luggage, which is somewhere in the back of the vessel; then we will board a bus to Thira, get off, get on another bus to Oia. We have a little walk to the Lotza Restaurant where we willl pick our keys to our place. Again, feels like Vernazza where you go to restaurant to get your keys.
Oia is a small village at the end of the island where everyone comes to watch the famous sunsets. Hopefully, if we are given the right room, we may be able to experience it from our own place. If not, it will only be a short walk away. I will save this entry and then post it when the internet becomes available. So, this post is not “in real time”.
